Universal Daroff hosted its division match on Sat. 1/28 and all Daroff wrestlers were successful in winning at least one match! In fact, most of the members of the team won at least 2 and some won 3 of their matches. 6th grader Quaire Mateen went undefeated winning all 4 of his matches (3 by pinfall and one by injury default). 7th grader David Cochran won 3 of his 4 matches and 8th graders De-Andre Comer and Aaron McGee showed a vast improvement each by winning their first matches ever!
The team will be traveling to compete in their next match at The Palestra at the University of Pennsylvania on Sat., Feb. 11th at 9 AM. After the wrestlers compete they will be staying to watch UPenn's NCAA Division I wrestling match. This match will be their final match in season but they will compete in a round-robin style championship tournament on Sun., February 19th (location TBA).
