Actor and comedian, Chris Tucker took a break from shooting a film in Philadelphia to give a motivational speech to 11th and 12th graders of Universal Audenried Charter High School on Monday, October 3, 2011. Tucker, best known for his roles in the movies Friday and Rush Hour, spoke candidly with the students about setting goals, having a fierce work ethic and weeding out negative influences in ones' life. He shared how he regrets never having attended college, but he clearly mapped out his life plan while in high school. He urged the students to use this time in high school to strategically plan for the next their phase of their lives. Despite being a "funny man" he also noted that there is a time for goofing around, and a time to take life seriously. Overall, the speaking engagement was a hit and students at Universal Audenried can expect to see more renowned speakers grace the auditorium stage during this school year!
